Workshop: Make Your Own Freedom Apron

Workshop: Make Your Own Freedom Apron

Join in this long-standing tradition on Liberation Day and show what freedom means to you!

In 1945, the liberation skirt became the symbol of the liberation celebrations following World War II: a patchwork skirt full of stories, memories, and life lessons. Just like back then, we’re gathering at the JAN JUNIOR workshop at Museum JAN in Amstelveen to share stories. In the workshop, we won’t be making a skirt, but your very own freedom apron.

We invite everyone—young and old—to join us in this effort. In doing so, we hope to reflect on the meaning of freedom and on the stories that bring us closer together.
