Free guided tour: Roos Holleman – A feast for the eyes

  • JAN Museum 50 Dorpsstraat Amstelveen, NH, 1182 JE Netherlands (map)

Come to the free introductory tour of the exhibition Roos Holleman – Het oog streelt(The Eye Caresses) on Saturday, March 7 . The exhibition displays new, monumental pastel drawings alongside existing work. Holleman shows how humans and nature are connected and how we view nature.

In her work, she draws moths, birds, skulls, and bones, among other things, focusing on vulnerability and transience. Part of her new work plays with the fluorescent feathers of birds of paradise, which are normally invisible to the human eye. The large format of the drawings invites the viewer to look closely and attentively.
